About
Dr Mphumzi Makeleni
Lecturer in Economics at Nelson Mandela University, specialising in applied econometrics, macroeconomics, financial development, and financial inclusion.
His work examines economic growth and the insurance–finance–growth nexus in South Africa, using time-series and panel methods.
He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of the Western Cape and contributes to teaching, research management, conference debate, and public policy.
